3Com Expands Support for System Builder Program

Santa Clara, CA, September 25, 2000 - 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) today announced the 3Com Connected‘ Associates program, which dedicates a team of sales, distribution, marketing and communication professionals to indirect OEM system builders in the U.S. The official introduction will be made to 200 of the top revenue producers in the system builder channel at System Builder Summit, September 24-27 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix, Ariz.

"As we’ve learned more about the reselling environment, we developed the 3Com Connected Associates program to provide indirect OEM system builders with a dedicated team, a value proposition, and a program that specifically supports their needs."

The 3Com Connected Associates program is tailored to authorized indirect OEM system builders purchasing 3Com’s comprehensive connectivity solutions from Synnex Information Technologies, 3Com’s authorized indirect OEM distribution partner in the U.S. The program includes select program pricing, focused products, training, and sales and marketing tools. The program also has dedicated sales reps and technical consultants to support authorized system builders.

The 3Com networking and connectivity products offered are:
