3Com Expands Support for System Builder Program
Santa Clara, CA, September 25, 2000 - 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) today announced the 3Com Connected‘ Associates program, which dedicates a team of sales, distribution, marketing and communication professionals to indirect OEM system builders in the U.S. The official introduction will be made to 200 of the top revenue producers in the system builder channel at System Builder Summit, September 24-27 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix, Ariz.
"We recognize the importance and potential of those OEMs who buy our products through the channel to help us deliver leading business connectivity solutions for commercial workgroups," said Russell Sheehan, senior director for 3Com’s Business Connectivity Group. "As we’ve learned more about the reselling environment, we developed the 3Com Connected Associates program to provide indirect OEM system builders with a dedicated team, a value proposition, and a program that specifically supports their needs."
The 3Com Connected Associates program is tailored to authorized indirect OEM system builders purchasing 3Com’s comprehensive connectivity solutions from Synnex Information Technologies, 3Com’s authorized indirect OEM distribution partner in the U.S. The program includes select program pricing, focused products, training, and sales and marketing tools. The program also has dedicated sales reps and technical consultants to support authorized system builders.
The 3Com networking and connectivity products offered are:
- 3Com EtherLink" 10/100 PCI NIC for Complete PC Management (3C905C-TXM-25-S) – providing comprehensive support of desktop management features including Remote System Alert Support, Remote Wake Up, and Managed PC Boot Agent (MBA). 3Com EtherLink Server 10/100 PCI NIC (3C980C- TXM-25-S) - with DynamicAccess® technology, Bidirectional Load Balancing, Resilient Server Links (RSL), and PCI Hot-Plug.
